- She is named after the Script Supervisor for Cars on the Road, Kelly Bonbright.
- Kelly was also an additional crew member on Cars and Cars 2. Kelly's father is automotive historian and machinist, Dave Bonbright of Sonoma, CA, who was instrumental in collaborating with Cars filmmakers to create the character of Doc Hudson in the Cars franchise.[1]
