Meet the Cars
- Luke was The King's very first pit-crew member. The King's pits may have taken a lot longer with only one pitty, but they were done better. For years now, Luke has dinner at The King's house every Tuesday night, and their wives are in a bowling league together.
Die-cast Race-O-Rama "Meet My Friend" description
- Luke Pettlework is the most loyal pitty at the track. He started at the King's first race and has been with him ever since.
Pixarpedia
- The King likes to be surrounded by a steady team and Luke Pettlework has been with him for a number of years. Pettlework is a pitty who knows his pit stops and Piston Cups!
Cars: Character Encyclopedia
- This model was released as a single in the World of Cars series with tire and tool chest accessories. He was later released in the Team Hauler box set and Team Dinoco Crew 4-pack with The King and two pitties
Trivia
- Although a short Dinoco pitty appears in Cal Weathers team in Cars 3, its currently unknown if that pitty is Luke Pettlework. As the body shape is slightly different and appearently being a newer generation of his model, Its either an entirely different character, or Luke got a drastic body change just like the returning racers in Cars 3 from the first film.
- If Lightning Mcqueen did accept Tex's offer of becoming the new racer for Dinoco, it's a bit likely that Luke Pattelwork and the rest of his colleagues would become Mcqueen's pit crew. Although on the other hand, due to Guido being a very fast tire changer, the latter would presumably be hired, and would either replace (or perhaps accompany) the original Dinoco pit crew.
- In Cars 3, Luke Pettlework's promo art is reused on a poster for "Pitties Night", however with inverted colours and the team decals removed.
