Terry Kargas raced for the Triple Dent team in the Piston Cup Racing Series. His number is 31.
History
Cars 3
In Cars 3, Terry competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season alongside the likes of Lightning McQueen, Cal Weathers, Bobby Swift and Brick Yardley. However, as Jackson Storm makes his debut in the Piston Cup, racing teams spark interest in having Next-Generation race cars compete for them. Terry most likely retires and gets replaced by a Next-Generation racer named Cam Spinner.

Trivia
- Early concept art of Terry shows that he was going to have the number 21. But it changed to number 31, because of Ryan "Inside" Laney. Ryan Laney's voice actor, Ryan Blaney, who is a professional NASCAR driver, bears and sports the number 21 in real life. Ryan decided which team he will be in. Instead of Triple Dent he chose Blinkr. Because of Ryan choosing and racing for team Blinkr, Terry Kargas' number changed to 31, and Cam Spinner became the next-gen Triple Dent racer.
- Terry has the same body as Brick Yardley (Axxelo Fission EA) in the film, but his diecast uses that of Cal Weathers (Capitol Motors Mark II). This was corrected for the 2019 re-release.
- He is named after, Cars 3 visual effects artist, Terry Kaleas.
