- The original concept of the movie was about cars investigating parts of a zombie-alien invasion. However, after the plot flopped, they turned it into a musical with a very catchy song.
- This isn't the first time Mater portrays a president, as he was also seen as the President of the United States on the cover of Issue #3 of Adventures of Tow Mater comic series.
