In October 2007, Mattel continued the die-cast line with a new series entitled "The World of Cars." This series then continued to be released throughout 2008. This page is for the 2008 series of 1:55 scale die-casts made by Mattel.

Movie Moments
Unlike the 2007 Supercharged collector poster and Desert Art Original Factory Sealed Set, the World of Cars series marked the first time the "Movie Moments" 2-pack assortment was not marketed on the "mainline" level; in addition to not being present on the poster or given collector numbers; This notably was also the only year where Movie Moments were still available to all countries and retailers.
