2008 (mainline series)

Starting with the World of Cars Series, they started numbering each release in the year, along with introducing Chases, which are die-casts that only release once.

There are 72 numbered Cars, number 30 (Sarge), number 64 (Nitroade Pitty) and number 69 (Ron Hover) were never released in the World of Cars series. Cars in different background color means they are new releases.

Five additional singles were released in a K-mart exclusive assortment case, as part of the first Kmart Cars Collector's Day event. While they featured a unique package design (based on the Los Angeles International Speedway) and were not assigned a collector number, the vehicles are not marked as part of any collection or special series, and shared the typical M1054 assortment code.
