Pit Race-Off
- "Launch & Race! Collect and connect all 6 racers!"
- —Original tagline, Pit Row Race-Off
Pit Race-Off, known as Pit Row Race-Off in its initial release, was a Cars die-cast series themed around the Piston Cup and pit stops. They were first released in 2008 as part under the World of Cars brand motif, and continued to be released into 2009 before being effectively replaced by the Lightyear Launchers series. While the series was not intended to be discontinued, with plans to make it a retailer-exclusive collection,[1] this never came to fruition and only two additional models were released afterward.=
2007-08 (World of Cars)
The initial release in December 2007 was called "Pit Row Race-Off", and featured six vehicles. RPM, No Stall, and Trunk Fresh launchers were released later in 2008, under the name "Pit Race-Off"; all previous models save for Octane Gain were released with updated namecards.
