Profiles

Cars

  • Ponchy was working as a stunt-double on a movie about a pair of wise-cracking California Highway Patrol officers called "HighJinx", when he was spotted and recruited to be a professional race car. Ponchy's gone from the big screen to the little screen, but at least it involves a lot less intentional crashing.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Despite die-cast releases of the Cars 3 Bumper Save racer coming with the name "Ponchy Wipeout", this racer is notably different from Ponchy Wipeout himself, such as being shorter, having a higher roof and different headlight stickers. It's possible that he went through a small body change during the events between Cars and Cars 3.
  • His 2017 Cars 3 Die-cast release had 2 variations, the black and yellow rims, which yellow is accurate.
  • His Cars 3 2017 Chinese Die-cast has black eyelids which is inaccurate. This was fixed when Ponchy was rereleased from Thailand in 2020.
