Slider Petrolski is a former racer of the Sidewall Shine racing team, along with Zeb.
History
Cars
In Cars, Slider is seen racing at the Motor Speedway of the South, among thirty-five other competitors. When Chick Hicks causes a huge accident, Slider is one of the many involved, ramming into Floyd Mulvihill, and suffers some minor damage, though he is still able to continue racing, but finishes in last place.
The World of Cars Online
In The World of Cars Online, Slider was one of the opposing racers that the player faced at the Petroleum City Super Speedway, along with Chick Hicks and Haul Inngas.
Between Cars and Cars 3
Between the events of Cars and Cars 3, Slider retires, but his sponsor does not appear in Cars 3.
Bio
- Slider Petrolski's parents named him Slider after his uncle: famed dirt track racer Slide Powers who graced the gritty, makeshift tracks of the late forties. Aspiring to his namesake Slider started racing at an early age. He challenged postal trucks, taxis, delivery vans and all varieties of unsuspecting pedestrian motorists. He even raced a police car, but only once.[1]
Physical description
Slider is a Capitol Motors Verve XT that is painted yellow and black, with the number 74 painted in white on his doors and roof. He has the Sidewall Shine logo printed on his hood, trunk and behind his rear tires.

- At the start of the last lap Slider is seen in last place, but in the next shot, Claude Scruggs is seen in last.
- Before the restart, Winford Bradford Rutherford was shown behind Davey Apex, but Slider was shown in the next shot.
- His diecasts have stripes on his rear end although he doesn’t have them in the movie.
