"Slim" Hood is a former race car that competed in the 1950s Piston Cup Racing Series seasons. He raced with the number 9, and was sponsored by Sludge Cola, The Plaza Supermarket, Southern Gold Gasoline, Motor Oil and Re-Volting.
History
Although, despite having a die-cast release suggesting he appeared in Cars 3, there has been no exact confirmation of which 1950s race he appeared in at the moment.
Physical description
"Slim" Hood is a racer that has a blue paintjob, and the number 9 on his doors and roof. His license plate number is L02-02M.

- He's named after, Cars 3 story artist, Sam Hood.
- There are many reasons behind the fact that Hood did not really appear in Cars 3.
- He is the only 1950s racer to be named after a Pixar staff member.
- He is extremely similar to Dewey Conerod.
- Dewey is the only blue racecar visible on the track.
- His license plate has the year 1955, despite the fact that the race footage and flashbacks took place before that date.
