"You listen here, son... This is a family of winners!"
Chick Hicks' Father, Cars (comic)

Chick Hicks' Father is a muscle car who appears in the Cars comic series. He was incredibly mean towards his son, Chick Hicks. Once, when Chick gave up a victory to help an injured car during a race, his father angrily scolded him, believing their family was a "family of winners" and that Chick could not afford to forfeit victories in the name of good sportsmanship. His strict parenting shaped Chick's behavior as he grew up, and ultimately contributed to Hicks' cheating and overall bad attitude. It is possible he deliberately taught him to cheat by crashing cars.

Years later, during a Radiator Springs Rally at the Radiator Springs Raceway, after Chick Hicks cased a serious accident involving other racers, Lightning McQueen said, "Nice try, Hicks. You should see a therapist. Figure out why you feel the need to do things like that." Hicks stopped in place and had a flashback of the moment his father claimed that Chick needs to win at all costs years before.

His design is based on both the first and fifth generations of the Ford Mustang.
