Darrell Cartrip and Bob Cutlass

In Cars, Darrell Cartrip is one of the two Piston Cup racing announcers. He is a sporty, fun, and comedic announcer that was absolutely shocked when Lightning McQueen, The King and Chick Hicks created the first ever 3-way tie in racing history.

Cars: The Video Game

In Cars: The Video Game, Darrell appears as a playable character during the Piston Cup races in arcade mode, and is unlocked by default. His stats are 5 for speed, 4 for acceleration, 3 for handling, and 4 for stability.

During story mode, Darrell is the announcer for the Piston Cup races, making remarks about the various racers.

Cars 2

Darrell, Brent Mustangburger and David Hobbscap

In Cars 2, Darrell Cartrip was selected by Miles Axlerod to host the World Grand Prix, among two others. He is still his jumpy self, and is once again the comedic announcer compared to the others.
