Tubbs Pacer is the leader of the Pacer crime family.
History
During Cars 2, Tubbs and the other main heads of the three lemon families (Gremlin, Trunkov, Hugo) attend a meeting with Professor Z in Porto Corsa to discuss their evil plans about discrediting the Allinol by using the radiation disguised camera to crash out the racers in the World Grand Prix that use the gas, and ensure that all cars keep using conventional fuel to secure the profits of their "lemon" organization who managed to secure the largest unexplored oil resources in the world. Tubbs is seen smiling at the idea and can't wait. Tubbs was soon respected as the leader of the Pacer family, much unlike his previous history.
Tubbs was part of the plan to sabotage the World Grand Prix, and helped the other families in the attempt to destroy the Allinol fuel, along with Lightning McQueen. Near the end of the film, Tubbs gets spray painted by Ramone. After being ambushed by the Radiator Springs crew in the showdown in London, he tries to escape with the remaining lemons, but is arrested on the spot by Sarge and with the British military, and was taken to prison.
Bio
Meet the Cars
- Tubbs never set out to lead a crime family, it just worked out that way. As a Pacer in the car world, you don't get much respect on your looks, so you have to earn it. That's why he embraced his negative nicknames, "Upside down bathtub" and dubbed himself "Tubbs". Before long, he was running with a pack of other disrespected Pacers who were also tired of being called "jelly beans" and "junkers". They met up with Zündapp and a whole new bushel of Lemons looking for the same car-world credibility. Tubbs proved his loyalty to this new family over and over, and he soon found himself poised to help take over the world.
Personality
Tubbs, like most lemons, was evil and spiteful due to the abuse he had endured during his life and tried to kill Lightning McQueen and his friends and ruin the World Grand Prix. However, he showed fear in the end when he was corned by Mater and his allies.
Livery
Tubbs is painted cream on his hood, sides and roof, and brown on his trunk and rear windshields.
Model
Like the rest of his family, Tubbs is based off of an AMC Pacer. Specifically a 1977 model, since that was the first year the two-tone paint scheme he has came out, and because all models afterwards had a different shaped grill. According to his die-cast, his license plate is 705BN.
