- "Wally has been around the country and back a few times. As a Walmart hauler, he makes several trips to Walmart stores all across Route 66. Back when he first started, Sam Walton was so impressed by Wally's attitude that he made him the official Route 66 Walmart delivery truck. Because of that honor, Wally has seen many great sights along the storied highway, and he wouldn't have it any other way."

- Back in 2006, there was a Walmart Commercial where Mater is talking to Wally.
- While promotional images of Wally portray him with the Walmart logo used before 2008, his diecast portrays him with the modern logo.
- The existence and the official description of this character verifies, that Walmart (and by extension, Sam's Club) does exist in Cars universe.
