Japeth is a rusty car that uses Rust-eze and supports Lightning McQueen. In Cars, he is seen in the Rust-eze sponsor tent at the Motor Speedway of the South, crowding around Lightning once he is spotted attempting to sneak through the tent to his trailer. McQueen is then forced to give a speech to the group of admiring onlookers, of which Japeth is happily a part of.
