Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (born October 10, 1974) is a NASCAR driver who performed the voice of Junior in Cars. He is the youngest son of famous NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt. He began racing in the #8 Budwesier Car for his father's company Dale Earnhardt Inc., and competed for rookie of the year in 2000, to which he won his first race at Texas Motor Speedway. On February 18, 2001, during the Daytona 500, Dale Jr.'s father Dale Sr. was killed in a racing accident while trying to protect his drivers Michael Waltrip and Dale Jr., who were the two leaders to which Waltrip won and Jr. came home second. Three years later, on February 18, 2004, Dale Jr. won his first Daytona 500. In 2007, after having a falling out with his stepmom Teresa Earnhardt, Dale Jr. left DEI and went to drive the #88 car for Rick Hendrix with the National Guard and Mountain Dew as his sponsors. He won at Michigan on Father's Day June 15, 2008, and then four years later, he won at Michigan.

Dale Jr. lives in Mooresville NC. Like his character he voiced in Cars, Dale Jr. likes spending time with his family. He has an older half brother Kerry Earnhardt, an older sister Kelley Earnhardt-Miller and a younger half sister Taylor Earnhardt-Putnam. He also likes hanging out with his buddies and playing computer games.
