Mildred Bylane is a 1944 Hollismobile Driftwood who worked for the United Service Organizations. In the summer of 1943, she visited Radiator Springs while on a publicity tour in Route 66, where she accidentally swerved into a bed of flowers and was rescued by Red. When her work forced her to leave town and go overseas, she left Red a single rose, which Red kept, and he now continues to care for its descendants. Mildred has visited Radiator Springs at least once. During one visit, she bought tires from Luigi's Casa Della Tires.

Mildred appears in Cars. When Sally Carrera is reminiscing about Radiator Springs' history to Lightning McQueen, a flashback scene depicts the town in its heyday, prosperous and booming with travelers. Mildred is seen leaving Luigi's Casa Della Tires with a new set of tires.

Fans Old and New

In Fans Old and New, Mildred is now seen with a blue paintjob and show to be at the Leak Less tent, having a conversation with older cars and fellow race cars Claude Scruggs and Lightning McQueen. She mentions that she visited Radiator Springs back in '43 and asks if that "adorable Red" is still around.
