Bernie Banks is an American mid-size car. He works as a Piston Cup photographer.
Bernie is an Axxelo Turnpike LX that is painted brown, with grey rims and clear headlights. He has a large camera attached to his doors.
History
Bernie appears in Cars when Lightning McQueen exits his trailer at the Motor Speedway of the South, trying to get a shot of McQueen.
He is later seen at victory lane still trying to take a picture only to get swept aside by Mia and Tia. He does not appear again for the remainder of the movie.
Bios
- Bernie is a notorious Piston Cup photographer known for sacrificing anything, including his own body, to get a great shot. In last year's No Grime 500, he was mid-shot when he was t-boned by an untamed racer, Buck Schooner. It cost Bernie two and a half months in the body shop, but scored him an incredible shot of Chick Hicks and the August cover of Runner Up Monthly.[1]
