Dan Haulin' served as the hauler for the Sputter Stop racing team. It was his job to transport Piston Cup racer Murray Clutchburn to and from events.

In Cars, Dan's trailer can be seen parked outside of the Motor Speedway of the South during and after the DInoco 400.

- Much like several other haulers in the first Cars film, Dan's trailer is the only part of him that appears in the movie. The design of Dan's cab has only been shown on his 1:55 Scale Diecast release.
- Dan is named after Pixar music recordist and mixer, Dan Wallin.
