Jørgen Klubien is a former animator, writer and storyboard artist at Pixar. He originally pitched the idea of Cars[1] back in the 1990s between Toy Story and A Bug's Life. He was slated to co-direct[2] the film until he was subsequently removed from the position and was only given co-writing credit, to where he was only paid $55,000 for the idea of Cars. He was later let go from Pixar in 2003 after working there for 10 years. However, he returned during the development of Cars only to be let go again in 2008.[3]
