Trivia
- He is named after Pixar employee, Roger Miller.
- He shares the same model as the Mood Springs Crew Chief.
- His diecast is also an inaccurate model, depicting him as the same model as the diecast versions of Chief Chick and Dexter Hoover.
- Although, he does not appear in Cars 3, there is an animation error in a scene where Strip Weathers' (as Cal Weathers' crew chief) is combined with a pickup truck that resembles Roger himself (despite notable differences in model) which could suggest that Roger Wheeler was intended to be Cal's crew chief in the said film as opposed to The King (Strip Weathers).[2]
