Gray is The King's hauler and a member of the Dinoco racing team. Because of his large size, Gray anticipated being a cargo hauler, but he did not expect to eventually become The King's transporter. In Cars, Gray transports The King to the Dinoco 400 at the Motor Speedway of the South, where Weathers finishes in a three-way tie with Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks. A tie-breaker race is set to be held at the Los Angeles International Speedway, which Gray transports Strip to.
