She always tells him that he’ll always be a winner to her no matter what happens, having admired his humbleness through his racing career. She also does show concern to him, when Chick Hicks angrily pushes him off the track on purpose, causing him to have a terrible accident. This shows that she doesn’t like cheating, especially from Chick Hicks and would always have concerns from her husband if he crashes. However, her disappointment would still turn to joy when she witnesses McQueen forfeit the cup so he can help her husband finish his last race, and would eventually kiss him on the cheek, which proves that she also shows sportsmanship towards other racers who are friendlier.

Lynda Weathers, known to others as Mrs. The King, is a former demolition derby competitor that is now The King's loving wife and Cal Weathers's paternal aunt.

She is a 1975 Family Estate Wagon 426, which is based on the real-life 1969 Ford Country Squire station wagon, which is what the Petty family would travel in to watch Richard Petty compete in his races.[2]

In Cars, Lynda is seen driving with her husband and Tex Dinoco, where she says that no matter what happens, her husband is a winner to her. When her husband gets hit by Chick Hicks at the end of the film, Lightning McQueen pushes the King over the finish line so he can retire with pride. Mrs. The King kisses Lightning on the cheek, thanking him for helping her husband finish his racing career. In the movie credits, she and the King are seen touring Radiator Springs together.
