Dex is a 1975 Cadillac Coupe de Ville who is painted red, has a license plate reading "DINOCO", and bears much resemblance to Tex Dinoco. He is the owner of Dinoco Records.

In Heavy Metal Mater, Dex works in his office while the Mater and the Gas-Caps band records their song.
