Apple is an electronic products company that sells numerous forms of technology. It is one of the Piston Cup sponsors in the Cars world, it sponsors Mac iCar an unnamed veteran racer and J.P. Drive.
History
Cars
Apple sponsors Mac iCar and his team in the Piston Cup Racing Series. Mac iCar's racing number is 84, which is the same year that Apple, Inc. famously released the Macintosh personal computer (1984).
Cars 2
Though not much information regarding its products has been revealed, a reference to it is made in Cars 2, when Mater says that his line of work is towing and salvage. Finn McMissile replies by saying, "And Miss Shiftwell's is designing iPhone apps."
Cars 3
In Cars 3 a new Apple racer is seen competing in the 2016 Piston Cup season, but they get fired and is replaced by a next-generation racer named J.P. Drive midway through the season. Additionally, Lightning McQueen's computer inside Mack's trailer resembles an iMac, as it has black framing around its screen, and has a FaceTime application (used to call Mater half way through the movie).

Trivia
- In Planes, a SkyPad that belongs to Zed appears, it is unknown whether or not this is a product of Apple, or another company. but still, it is a parody of the Apple iPad.
- In Cars, the team's racing number was the same as that of the Re-Volting team. The problem was fixed in Cars 3 when the latter changed their number to 48.
- Apple and Dale Earnhardt Inc. are the only known Piston Cup sponsors to be real companies.
- The stock car Apple racer in Cars 3 is the only veteran to not have an official name revealed, alongwith the Rev-N-Go racer.
- The reason why Mac iCar was available exclusively in a 36-car Motor Speedway of the South box set, and never saw any other releases since, is most likely due to licensing issues with Apple. The Veteren racer and J.P Drive never saw releases at all, likely for the same reason (save for the J.P was released as a toy by Takara Tomy and Disney Store).
