This is a list of errors from Cars 3.

Piston Cup Positions

When Lightning McQueen, Bobby Swift and Cal Weathers go into the pits, we can see Phil Tankson still racing, but in the next shot he is in the pits.

Lightning passes Speedy Comet, and Bobby passes Reb Meeker, but in the next scene, neither Speedy or Reb can be seen.

Ernie Gearson can be seen next to a wall, but in the next shot he isn't.

Terry Kargas can be seen next to Jack DePost and Murray Clutchburn, but in the next shot he is seen next to Jimmy Cables in the top 5.

Phil Tankson was seen in sixth place but he was seen in at least 20th place. The same goes with Speedy Comet.

Darren Leadfoot, Dirkson D'Agostino, Todd Marcus, Ralph Carlow were in the top positions, but when Jackson Storm past them we can see Apple Racer, Dino Draftsky and Rev Roadages in the top positions.

Chip Gearings and Bobby Roadtesta can be seen in the top positions in Chick's Picks with Chick Hicks.

Bobby Swift and Cal Weathers disappear in Chick's Picks with Chick Hicks just showing Lightning McQueen.

Brick Yardley, Bobby Swift and Cal Weathers don't appear in the Motor Speedway of the South when Jackson Storm appears in his second race.

J.D. McPillar and Jack DePost are shown participating in the same race at the Grandol Oil Co. Raceway, despite the former being the latter's replacement. The same thing happens with George New-Win and Brian Spark at the Los Angeles 500.

Herb Curbler came in fifth, but the scoring board says he came in 10th.

Chase Racelott passed Lightning McQueen, but when the latter hit the wall, Eric Braker can be seen in the former's place, they keep swapping places during the race.

Before the start of the Los Angeles 500, Jonas Carvers and Ryan "Inside" Laney can be seen starting in 15th and 16th place respectively, but when the race officially starts, their positions are swapped.

Tim Treadless always gets replaced suddenly by Aaron Clocker in some scenes.

Harvey Rodcap is seen starting in second place, but when the race starts, he is seen in dead last.

Before the race starts, Cam Spinner started sixth place while J.D. McPillar started fourth. Cam Spinner was repeatedly disappearing throughout the whole race, he kept high positions like fourth or fifth. After Lightning McQueen got out of the pits, J.D. was in fourth and Cam Spinner was in fifth. The scene changes showing Tim and Chris instead of J.D. and Cam. Jonas, Herb and Harvey also showed up before and after Lightning McQueen crashed into the wall.

When Cruz Ramirez was going into the pits, Steve "Slick" LaPage and J.P. Drive can be seen racing despite both previously being badly damaged from the crash.

After Cruz switches with Lightning in the final race, some of the racers are missing for the rest of the race.

Next Gen Logos

Next to Mack's trailer we can see the Gask-its sponsor tent. But it's using Dan Carcia's 80 and Logo Design.

When Albert Hinkey is cheering for McQueen, several caravan fans can be seen with Next-Gen logos on their flags, despite them not being known to the public.

Two Re-Volting Haulers

When Mater leaves Mack's trailer you can see two Re-Volting haulers all because of the color and the number 8 design is the same.

Next Gens seen early

Herb Curbler, Cam Spinner, Richie Gunzit and Nick Shift can be seen in Chick's Picks with Chick Hicks, despite not being seen in a race yet.

The same goes for some of the other next generation racers in the simulator, despite not being seen until the Florida 500.

Number of Piston Cup Racers

Darrell Cartrip says that there are 43 cars competing in the Florida 500. However, there are only 35 cars and one being Lightning McQueen. So essentially, there are only 36 racers competing in the Florida 500. There are still some other non-next-gen cars left besides McQueen. Coincidentally, the same happened right back in the first film.

Number of Veterans Retiring Every Week

Natalie Certain says that every week, veteran racers retire or get fired to make room for the next generation racers. However, the season was almost over when more next-gen racers started to push out the stock cars, so veteran racers leaving every week is not possible. At the start of the film, the season is nowhere near over yet. In fact, there were at least six more races (which we know because at one point it is announced that Storm has won seven races in total) before the final race, and Certain makes her statement right before this final race. With one race every week, there are plenty of opportunities for cars to retire or be replaced.

Next-Gen Haulers

At the Iowa Hybrid 450 we can see some haulers in the background. But some of them are actually Next-Gen haulers despite no Next-Gen's being seen yet.

Racers Lacking Rookie Stripes

When the race at the Motor Speedway of the South begins, Tim Treadless does not have rookie stripes despite it being his first start. The same thing happens with Conrad Camber at the Florida 500 when he makes contact with Nick Shift.

Next-Gens with the Wrong Spoiler

In the scene of collision during Florida 500, before he was hit, Tim Treadless' spoiler was shown to be similar to that of Ryan "Inside" Laney or Jim Reverick's. In the same race, when Cruz Ramirez hits the wall, Aaron Clocker's spoiler is shown to be the same as Harvey Rodcap's or Chase Racelott's.

Inaccurate Pit Crews

Another error appears when McQueen, Bobby, and Cal go into the pits, in which Cal's crew chief, The King's model is depicted as a combination of his normal model and a pickup truck used by several background crew chiefs.

He's depicted with the pickup truck model on him later as well.

Before McQueen crosses the start/finish line, Ernie Gearson's pit crew can be seen in McQueen's pit.

Murray Clutchburn can be seen with Dirkson D'Agostino's Crew Chief after Jackson Storm leaves in his hauler.

During several races, pit crews are seen that use stock car logo sets while having Next-Gen pitties, and vice-versa.

Miscolored Ryan "Inside" Laney

During the Florida 500 crash, Ryan "Inside" Laney's paint job colors orange and blue swap places.

Murray Clutchburn's Roof

In multiple scenes, Murray Clutchburn's roof is shown to be orange instead of turquoise. This error would translate to his diecast release.

Stock Pit Crews in the Simulator

Stock car pit crews can be seen in the simulator, which is inaccurate since all of the veterans have been gone.

Audio/Visual Unsynchronized

After Cruz Ramirez wins the race in Florida, Ryan "Inside" Laney and Bubba Wheelhouse's voices are swapped when congratulating Cruz.

Number Errors

At Thunder Hollow, Cruz (under the name Frances Beltline) has the number #20 sprayed on her right side. When we see her during the talk with Smokey and the other veterans, it is now on her right side. Later she has it spray-painted on both sides when practicing with McQueen (in order to substitute for Jackson Storm, who's racing number is also #20) but this is after McQueen talks to Smokey.

When Lightning rolls over in the wreck, the 95 on the driver side is almost completely scraped off, but later when he is in Doc Hudson's old garage, the numbers are untouched even though he is now covered in gray prime .
