In Cars 3. Michael Rotor joined the View Zeen team with the number 39. He replaced the previous View Zeen racer, Buck Bearingly. He competed in the 2017 Florida 500 race at the Florida International Super Speedway, where he started from the eleventh position.
Physical description
Michael is a Next-Gen 2017 Race Car SB-9. He uses Lightyear tires. His eyes are green. He has a light-blue livery with yellow stipes on the border of his hood and spoiler as well as on his sides. He has a yellow number 39 on his sides and the roof and the logo of View Zeen on his hood, sides, spoiler and back. His rims are black.

- He is named after Pixar employee, Michael Rutter who worked on Cars 3's production as the dressing artist.
- Racing number 39 was also used by: Buck Bearingly and Ryan Shields.
- Other racers sponsored by View Zeen were: Buck Bearingly and Ryan Shields.
- Michael has the same surname as Crusty Rotor, the Vinly Toupee racer in Cars. It is unknown if they are related in any way.
