From November 7–21, 2023, Rocket League ran a Cars-themed in-game event, where players could take control of Lightning McQueen (pictured) and attain a variety of collectibles, including two extra paint jobs, a new player banner, "Ka-chow!" goal explosion, and "Life is a Highway" player anthem.
As of late October 2023, the first assortments of mainline 2024die-cast cars from Mattel are beginning to appear in stores.
The Cars on the Road episode "Road Rumblers" was nominated for the Outstanding Achievement for Animated Effects in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production category in the 50th Annie Awards, held on February 25, 2023.
