From November 7–21, 2023, Rocket League is running a Cars-themed in-game event, where players can take control of Lightning McQueen (pictured) and attain a variety of collectibles, including two extra paint jobs, a new player banner, "Ka-chow!" goal explosion, and "Life is a Highway" player anthem.
As of late October, the first assortment of mainline 2024 die-cast vehicles by Mattel are beginning to appear in stores.
A Disney+ show based on the Cars franchise was announced for a 2022 release on Disney+ on January 4, 2021. Pixar revealed the name of the show to be Cars on the Road on November 12, 2021.
