Gordon is one of the qualifiers for the Wings Around the Globe at Lincoln. As a result of the explosion of his engine during his lap, he was eliminated from the race.

Gordon's signature move is a reverse half Cuban Eight: starting from level flight, Gordon pulls into a 45-degree climb, performs a half roll while still climbing, and then completes five-eights of a loop to level out again. It is far more exciting to watch than to read about."
