Franz (also known as Von Fliegenhosen or Fliegenhosen in plane mode) is an Aerocar, and a huge fan of Dusty Crophopper.
History
Franz is a German Aerocar, and a huge fan of Dusty Crophopper. He is also a friend of Dusty and El Chupacabra and hangs out with the racing competitors. He refers to himself as a "flugzeugauto" which translates to "airplane car." He seems to change personality and voice pitch when turning into a plane.
Personality
Franz has an alter ego when he is in plane mode than in car mode.
Livery
Franz is painted light green, with tan lining.
Model
His design appears to be based on the 1954 Taylor Aerocar.

- Franz is a meek German minicar with a very special feature: he can fly! Without his wings, he's a mild-mannered superfan who would do anything for Dusty, including manning his personal Crop Watcher blog in an effort to build the rookie plane's fan base. Franz figures if an unknown crop duster can keep up with the best in the world, maybe his own high-flying dreams aren't so crazy after all.
Meet the Planes
- With a flip of his doors, Franz's wings - and his airborne alter ego, von Fliegenhosen - emerge, turning the superfan into a brash, brazen, and fearless überfan. Von Fliegenhosen looks down on his "schpineless" four-wheeled counterpart, and his warring personalities don't see eye to eye on anything except the source of their inspiration: Dusty.
