Trivia
- While he and Harvey Rodcap had used the number 15 in Cars 3, Ruby Oaks, used the number 51.
- There is an early concept art that presents Clutchen with the number 51 instead. The change could have been made because of Cruz Ramirez being given the number 51 in Cars 3, which could have been changed from the first concept of the movie, as the development had progressed.
- He is named after, Cars 3 effects artist, Carl Kaphan.
- He is 1 of the 6 stock cars fired after the 2016 Dinoco 400.
- Coincidentally, Carl Clutchen's model is identical to Carl's, albeit with different sizes and shapes for their brake ducts and headlights.
