History
Cars 3
In Cars 3, Speedy competes in the 2016 season of the Piston Cup, during which Jackson Storm makes his debut in the midseason. Storm's success sparks interest in the Next-Generation racers, who are faster and more capable than traditional stock racers. Realizing their superiority in terms of ability, Piston Cup teams start firing their veterans in favor of Next-Generation rookies. Because of this, Speedy was forced to stop competing in the Piston Cup and got replaced with Ryan Laney.
