Markus Krankzler is a former race car that competed in the Piston Cup Racing Series for the Transberry Juice team, competing with the number number 6. He got replaced by Bubba Wheelhouse.
History
Cars 3
In Cars 3, Markus takes part in the 2016 Piston Cup season with the likes of Lightning McQueen, Cal Weathers, Bobby Swift and Brick Yardley. When Jackson Storm arrived during the midseason, the popularity of high tech Next-Generation race cars risen, due to them having better achievements on the tracks. Markus Krankzler stopped competing in the Piston Cup and was replaced by Bubba Wheelhouse in the 2017 season of the Piston Cup.
Physical description
Krankzler is a Brawny Motor Co. Spark EA stock car. He uses Lightyear racing tires, like all Piston Cup racers. His eye color is blue. He has a purple livery with a yellow hood, trunk and stripe below his cabin. Half of his hood and roof is painted blue. He has the number 6, painted yellow, on his hood and doors. His hubcaps are colored black.
Trivia
- He is named after Pixar's technical director Markus Kranzler.
- The number 6 was also used by: Cletus, Raoul ÇaRoule, Ishani and Bubba Wheelhouse. Additionally number 06 was used by: King McKit and Hurricane Windbird.
- Other known racing drivers that were sponsored by Transberry Juice are: Medford, Lee Revkins and Bubba Wheelhouse.
- Previous Transberry Juice racers, Lee Revkins, seen in Cars, and Medford, seen in Cars: The Video Game, used the number 63 while Markus and his replacement, Bubba Wheelhouse, used the number 6.
- On his concept art, he has number 63 in contrary to number 6 he has in the film.
