During the midseason, with Jackson Storm's debut, the interest in Next-Generation race cars started to rise and as such, Jimmy was forced to stop competing in the Piston Cup and Intersection replaced him with Flip Dover.

- Racing number 00 was also used by: Flip Dover, Arvy Motorhome and Zed. Additionally, number 0 was used by: Cagey, Fearless, Fluffy, Ghost, Hubs, Jet, Lonely, Nacho, Ned, Sassy, Sonny, Sky, Viper and Wacky.
- In Cars 3 he had magenta livery, however his diecast toy model was red, like his concept art.
