Maddy McGear[1] is a small, young Axxelo Microlux[2] who greatly admires Piston Cup racers Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez. During the races she attends, Maddy dons 95 souvenirs, and shouts words of encouragement to McQueen and Ramirez. She is the daughter of Melissa Bernabrake.
History
Cars 3
In Cars 3, McGear attends one of the races in the opening sequence, cheering on McQueen as he races by. She also attends the Florida 500, where she cheers on winner Cruz Ramirez, who had entered the race as a substitution for McQueen. In the end credits, she is seen taking a photo of Lightning and Cruz on each of her side with the numbers 95 and 51 now on her roof. She gets very excited.
Other appearances
Maddy also appears in a short Coppertone sunscreen advertisement, in which her mother applies sunscreen to her while in the stands of a race, claiming she needs sun protection if she wants to be a champion like McQueen. As McQueen speeds by, Maddy and her mother cheer him on.

Meet the Cars
- Maddy McGear has been following Lightning McQueen since his first race. She may be little, but she has a big heart. She cheers on McQueen with all her might; that is until she meets Cruz Ramirez. Now Maddy is a fan of both, and admires McQueen and Ramirez equally for their courage, heart, and character.
