Brick Yardley is a professional race car and a friend of Lightning McQueen. He raced for the Vitoline team in the Piston Cup Racing Series for nearly ten years, before being fired and replaced by a next-generation racer named Chase Racelott during the 2017 season.[1][2] He replaced #61, James Cleanair, between the events of Cars and Cars 3. He first appeared in Cars 3.
Yardley has a traditional NASCAR stock car design, with a green and white livery. His racing number is 24, different from the old Vitoline number, 61.

Despite previously being able to keep up with even the best of opponents, Yardley begins to have trouble competing with next-generation models like Jackson Storm.[2] Right before the last race of the season, Vitoline's manager fires Brick and replaces him with a new, next-generation racer named Chase Racelott .[1]
