In Cars 3, Truncan competes in the 2017 season alongside many other traditional stock cars. However, Jackson Storm's performance sparks interest in the next generation of high-tech racers, and teams begin replacing their current racers with next-generation rookies. Midway through the season, Truncan is replaced by a next-generation racer. His racing number is 52. His sponsor is the car-ified version of adult diapers
