Alex Vandel is a minivan that appeared in Cars 2.
History
In Cars 2, Alex is seen in the Haneda Airport in Tokyo, trying to make it past the airport security officer Murakarmi, but kept failing due to his rims being made out of metal.
Physical description
Alex is an Opel Zafira, with a license plate that reads 75R VT 2A. He is painted a purplish-blue color, with a chrome grille and gray rims.

Trivia
- The back of his diecast's card states he is an Open Corsa, and he has wheels instead of only rims.
- In real-life airports, security gates scan people for anything metal they have on them. Cars being made of metal, it is surprising to see they make use of security gates. The security gates (including the one Alex goes in) and the conveyor belts have changed in the Cars world so that cars will be able to use them.
- He is likely named after Pixar employee Alex Mandel.
