Jimmy Cables is a race car that formerly competed in the Piston Cup Racing Series for the Intersection team with the number 00. He was fired and replaced by Flip Dover.

History

In Cars 3, Jimmy competes in the 2016 season of the Piston Cup Racing Series for the Intersection. During the midseason, with Jackson Storm's debut, the interest in Next-Generation race cars started to rise and as such, Jimmy was forced to stop competing in the Piston Cup and Intersection replaced him with Flip Dover.

Physical description

Jimmy is an Axxelo Fission EA race car. He uses Lightyear racing tires. He has a magenta livery with white and 2 white stripes on each of his sides, that are shaped like roads. He has the Intersection logo on his hood, trunk and backs of his sides and the number 00 painted in white, on his sides, roof, under his right headlight and taillight. His eye color is green in the movie, while it's brown in his official render, die-cast and concept art. He also has black hubcaps.

Trivia

• In Cars 3 he had magenta livery, however his diecast toy model was red, like his concept art.
  • His die-cast model was mostly likely based off of his concept art for the film.
