In ''[[Cars 2]]'', he breaks down on the way to Radiator Springs, having done so nine times before in the same month, but this time only halfway to the county line. He is towed by [[Mater]] for the rest of the journey to be taken to [[Ramone]] for repair, feeling glad that at least one car respects lemons like him. When Mater sees that [[Lightning McQueen]] has returned from winning the [[Piston Cup Racing Series|Piston Cup]], he forgets that he is still towing Otis as he quickly heads over to greet McQueen, causing Otis to get scraped against the road as he goes. At the moment Mater finally stops, Otis is inadvertently let go straight into [[Ramone's House of Body Art]], where Ramone is waiting for him.
 
At the end of the film, Otis has broken down again, but Mater, with a pair of rockets that [[Finn McMissile]] and [[Holley Shiftwell]] gave him, tows him all the way to Ramone's House of Body Art at a high speed.

Otis is painted light blue, with a rusty tan bumper and gray headlights. He has chrome rims. He is a 1972 [[Shyster]] Cremlin. a model based on the Lada Riva 2107 (despite Otis being American), with a license plate reading "06 05 62", which represents his voice actor, which is [[Jeff Garlin]]'s birthday (June 5, 1962). He has a chrome grille. Ironically, the front end heavily resembles a retro-modern version of the 2007-2013 GMC Sierra (albeit continuing production by two years later after the events of the film, and different inner grille bars), despite Otis being actually classified as a supermini car ([[Fred]] also shares this too).

Unlike other lemons (especially [[Grem]] and [[Acer]]), Otis is not involved in their plot and has no evil intentions at all whatsoever. Otis is one of the first characters seen, broken down aside the roads of [[Ornament Valley]]. He breaks down a lot, but Mater is nice to them and the two have been together so many times that they are great friends. He takes him to Ramone whenever his engine needs help, which happens a lot. Towards the end of the film, Otis is seen lying on the side of the road when Mater flies by with his rockets, grabbing him with his tow hook, sending him speeding into Ramone's.

Otis is a sweet car, but also a "lemon", a car with flaws. Otis is embarrassed by the fact that he is a "lemon" but unlike [[Acer]] and [[Grem]], he accepts it, and because he accepts it, so does everybody in town.

History

Cars 2

In Cars 2, he breaks down on the way to Radiator Springs, having done so nine times before in the same month, but this time only halfway to the county line. He is towed by Mater for the rest of the journey to be taken to Ramone for repair, feeling glad that at least one car respects lemons like him. When Mater sees that Lightning McQueen has returned from winning the Piston Cup, he forgets that he is still towing Otis as he quickly heads over to greet McQueen, causing Otis to get scraped against the road as he goes. At the moment Mater finally stops, Otis is inadvertently let go straight into Ramone's House of Body Art, where Ramone is waiting for him.

At the end of the film, Otis has broken down again, but Mater, with a pair of rockets that Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell gave him, tows him all the way to Ramone's House of Body Art at a high speed.
