Hammer is a plane who tried to qualify for the Wings Around the Globe Rally. His racing number is #17.
History
Planes
Hammer tried to apply for the Wings Around the Globe, but did not make it into the Top 5 to compete. However, he can be seen in the pit row at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the background.

Hammer is painted mainly black, with yellow shapes of hammers, anchors and his name on his fuselage and wings. His racing number is #17.

His design is a combination of a Extra EA-300's fuselage, a Zivko Edge 540 V3's wings, and a Cessna 402's vertical stabilizer.

- When trucks "put the hammer down" it means they are going at maximum speed. Racer number 17, Hammer, is always going at maximum speed, which he prefers to call "terminal velocity". Whatever you call it, Hammer is fast. But after three failed attempts at qualifying, Hammer is starting to question his need for speed.[1]
