He uses [[Lightyear]] tires like all Piston Cup racers. The word Lightyear can be seen on his front fenders. On his hood the logo for Combustr can be seen. The number 11 appears on his sides and roof painted in white with a thin green outline. It also appears under his right headlight and taillight. In Cars 3, Chip competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season. However, when the next generation rookie racers begin performing much better than the veteran racers, before the Gears and Glory 450, Combustr fires Chip and replaces him with a next generation racer named Chris Roamin'.
