Jimmy Lugwrench is a former racer who lived in the town of Sunset Lake in [[North Carolina]]. He partook in races throughout the country during the 1950s in racetracks like [[Thomasville Speedway]] and the [[Fireball Beach Course]]. In 1954, while a race event is being held at Fireball Beach, Lugwrench and the rest of the fleet were red flagged after the [[Doc Hudson|Hudson Hornet]] looses control and began flipping violently, ending his career.

In Cars 3, Jimmy Lugwrench is seen via an archive recording of the 1954 Fireball Beach race. He was one of the many competitors the Hudson Hornet passed on track for the lead, but eventually the race would be red flagged as the Hudson Hornet would suffer a career ending wreck.
