Chip Gearings[1] is a race car who competed in the Piston Cup Racing Series. He was sponsored by Combustr, and his racing number is 11. He is a Brawny Motor Co. Spark EA.
History
In Cars 3, Chip competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season. However, when the next generation rookie racers begin performing much better than the veteran racers, before the Gears and Glory 450, Combustr fires Chip and replaces him with a next generation racer named Chris Roamin'.
Physical description
Chip Gearings is a Brawny Motor Co. Spark EA race car. He is painted dark blue in the front, light-green in the middle and white in the back. He uses Lightyear tires like all Piston Cup racers. The word Lightyear can be seen on his front fenders. On his hood the logo for Combustr can be seen. The number 11 appears on his sides and roof painted in white with a thin green outline. It also appears under his right headlight and taillight. He has green rims with an white outline, a white spoiler and on the trunk the word "Combustr" can be seen along with it's logo on there and the back side of him. In the film his eye color is blue but is grey on his die-cast release.

- He is one of the first Cars 3 background racers to be revealed.
