THQ was a popular video game company that faced bankruptcy in December 2012. It had produced hundreds of games since its foundation in 1989. It had also produced some of the games in the Cars franchise such as Cars: The Videogame, Cars: Mater-National Championship and Cars: Race-O-Rama.
