Arizona
Arizona is a state in the southwestern region of the United States. Southern Arizona is renowned for its desert climate, characterized by scorching summers and mild winters. In contrast, Northern Arizona boasts pine forests, mountain ranges, and expansive canyons, experiencing more temperate summers and significant winter snowfalls. Alongside the globally recognized Grand Canyon National Park—one of the world's seven natural wonders—Arizona features numerous national forests, parks, and monuments. Among these is Carburetor County, home to the charming Radiator Springs town. Additionally, Arizona encompasses towns like Kingman and Flagstaff, situated in proximity to Radiator Springs. The state is famous for its desert Basin and Range region in the southern part, celebrated for its abundance of xerophyte plants, including various cacti species. The state's name appears to originate from an earlier Spanish name, Arizonac, derived from the O'odham name alĭ ṣonak, meaning 'small spring'.
