Smokey is a Piston Cup legend and the owner of Smokey's Automotive Service. He is a pick-up truck that is painted orange, with a brown flatbed.[1] His character is a tribute to legendary racing mechanic Smokey Yunick.[2]

In Cars 3, Lightning McQueen visits Smokey's Automotive Service seeking advice from Smokey and other former Piston Cup legends, including Louise Nash, River Scott, and Junior Moon.
