"Cheaters Never Prosper" Page 1

"Cheaters Never Prosper" is a four-page comic story, originally featured in the 19th issue of Cars Magazine. It was written by Gabriele Panini, with illustrations by Giancarlo Florio, Michela Frare, and Kawaii Creative Studio.

Summary

Aiken Axler is practicing for a Piston Cup race when Chick Hicks approaches him, offering him a bribe in exchange for cutting off Lightning McQueen when the race begins, allowing Chick an early lead. Aiken declines, lauding Chick's poor sportsmanship. During the race, Aiken catches up to Lightning and Chick, the latter of whom tries to run him off the track. Aiken wisely dodges the blow, causing Chick to crash, and lose significant ground. Aiken finishes second right behind McQueen, while Chick is nowhere to be found on the winner's podium.
