Trivia
- This year marks the return of characters and variants who have not been released in quite some time.
- Miles Axlerod and Otis have not been released since 2016.
- Mel Dorado, Lee Racé, Nate Stanchion, and Jessica Giampetrol have not been released since 2014 with the Mel Dorado Show series.
- Damaged "The King" has not had a single release since 2009 in the Race-O-Rama series.
- Davey Apex is called Dave Alternators again.
- This year continues the trend of having no specific series based around a theme, event or character, which was brought back in 2021.
- Chick Hicks' packaging using his Cars 3 artwork while the die-cast itself is based on his appearance from Cars.
- 2022 Case E was the first Case to change it's contents, Jae with VR Headset was pushed to Case F, Lewis Hamilton was pushed to Case F, Jonathan Wrenchworths was pushed to Case G, Chick Hicks was pushed to Case G, Ramone Green was pushed to Case G, Cruz Ramirez as Francis Beltline with Barrels was pushed to Case H, and Dana Crankoff was pushed to Case J.
- Lightning McQueen's first name was misspelled as "Lighnting" on the release of him with the Rust-eze sign.
- Lee Racé is the first chase die-cast to be re-released.
- Donna Pits is called "Donna Pitts"[1] for the first time in 1:55 scale die-cast history.
- The artwork for Wasabi Mouth Mater lacks the 95 team logo on Mater's right door (as with prior releases of him).
- The team logo itself is present on the die-cast.
- Finish Line Lightning McQueen uses Tongue Lightning McQueen's artwork.
